The Black Phone Review

The Black Phone

Rated: MA15+

My Raiting: 8/10

The Black Phone is a Horror movie made by Blumhouse and Universal Pictures. The plot is based of the short story the Black Phone by Joe Hill. This story is completely terrifying. The amazing Ethan Hawke does an excellent job portraying a psycho maniac named the grabber.

The Black Phone is about a creepy kidnapper that takes kids when they least expect. A boy named finny was walking home when the grabber kidnaps finny. Finny is taken back to the Grabbers basement where he is met with a phone that is disconnected. Through out the time Finny is down there he hears the phone ring. When he picks up the phone he is greeted by the voices of the dead children the grabber kidnaps. Those children try and help Finny through the phone. Finny's sister has an ability to sense where he is in her dreams.

Over all this movie was fantastic the chemistry between Ethan Hawke and Mason Thames really play well on screen. I recommend this movie to any horror lover. This movie does not disappoint. One of the better movies of 2022.

All images rights go towards Universal Pictures and Blumhouse
