Black Adam Review

Rated: PG
My Rating: 5/10

Black Adam is a film by Warner Bros and DC. With the announcement of The Rocks passion project over 15 years ago, fans were excited to find that the film had gotten green lit early 2019.  The rival version of Shazam, Teth Adam an old Egyptian is freed from his tomb after being there for over 5000 Years. Black Adam helps the Egyptians from the Intergang.

Overall I thought the movie was just alright. Nothing special or particularly amazing. Throughout times I thought scenes were dragged out too long. Black Adam (Dwayne The Rock Johnson) Had some good one liners.

The characters were all great choices and great casting choice for this film. I though Pierce Brosnan was excellent as Doctor Fate but I felt his character lacking the potential it could of had. Hawkman (Aldis Hodge) also did a great job playing the character and I think was one of the better actors in the film. Noah Centineo's Atomsmasher felt too comedic for this film. Cyclone (Quintessa Swindle) I think also did an excellent job.

Black Adam was filled with a lot of action, and I felt that it kind of brought the feeling of understanding the characters away. There was very little dialog and the overuse of VFX made some scenes hard to look at. This is why I rate the film a 5/10. I still do recommend this tense and nail biting movie to anyone who loves DC Comics.
