Summary

"The film goes through many twists and leaves you wondering if the devil is real"

The Conjuring The devil made me do it is a film produced by Warner Bros and New Line Cinema. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson have reprised their roles as paranormal investigators. This is the third movie named The Conjuring within the Conjuring Universe franchise. Other movies in the franchise include Anabelle and the Nun. The film is based on the case files from the real Ed and Loraine Warren. The film depicts the Arne Cheyenne Johnson case which happened on February 16, 1981. The case was also nicknamed the devil made me do it. This was the first American court case where the defendant claimed he was innocent because of demonic possession. The film goes through many twists and leaves you wondering if the devil is real. I give the movie a 7 out of 10 because I felt that they should have explained the film in 2 parts. I wanted to see more in detail about the court case and how they came to their final verdict. I also found the timeline a bit strange. I felt like the whole story was told across one week even though it was meant to be set over several months. I would recommend this film to anyone who loves horror, as it still gives you all the things we love in a horror - a good fright!. If you are into horror and love a mystery, you will still very much enjoy this film.
